The diaper genie will hold almost double of what it says it will hold. When you walk in the nursery you do NOT smell dirty diapers. I wish they had this when I had my children. But it has been wonderful for my granddaughter’s nursery. We have also have used normal bags when we ran out of the genie bags, and they will work when in a pinch or waiting to order bags. This has helped so very much with my daughter-in-law being bedridden for 3 weeks!

The “opening” doesn’t always open on both sides to create a wide opening for diapers to drop down. Diapers get stuck and have to be pushed down into diaper genie. Definitely not built to last. Great concept but not a product to uphold to the description. Does seem to help “some” on odor but doesn’t eliminate. Returning. Think buying a garbage can w/ a lid will work better

How does this compare to the elite version? Does it contain the smell well?
Answer: Our Diaper Genie Complete works the same or similar to the Elite. The refill bags still tie and a carbon filter is included that fits in the underside of the lid to absorb smells. The smell will be contained in the Unit and our refills are multi layered to lock in scent.

How come the odor still get through after using the filter?
Answer: It is normal for the odor to escape when the lid/clamp is open while inserting a new diaper. If the unit is not containing the odor while the lid/clamps are closed please give us a call at 800-222-0453.

item can use for my mom ?
Answer: I found the Genie to be a saving Grace while taking care of my ninety four year old Mom. You can tie the bags everyday or as often as you want.
